Hello,

I need to design a plug and play usb soundcard for a headset but I need to access the audio going back and forth through a microcontroller. Is there some kind of converter that would let me do this? I am currently looking into purely microcontroller solutions as well but USB stack is very complicated. Thank you very much.

Hi Jan,

This feature exists currently in the Connected Audio Framework (CAF).
This software uses the C5535 DSP (or similar family members) basically as a USB sound card.
The USB software is written and open source.

There are two places in the software where you can insert your own algorithms to do exactly what you request.

Download the CAF from here: www.ti.com/.../c55x-audioframework

Once installed look inside of <install path>\c55_caf\src\app_audio_alg.c
