Is Vision SDK not supported in Linux Host Machine to be used for TDA3x EVM or TDA3x RVP?

Yes Vision SDK is supported on linux.
You can download PROCESSOR_SDK_VISION_xx_xx_xx_xx.bin from software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html.

Yes, it is supported on Linux. But in the UserGuide it is mentioned that the SDK only supports TDA2x, TDA2PX etc.. but it doesn't mention about TDA3x. Can you please confirm if SDK on Linux supports TDA3x ?

Hi Keerti,

Are you asking about Vision SDK Linux or Vision SDK BIOS on linux?
Vision SDK Linux does not support TDA3xx but Vision SDK BIOS has a linux installer which can be used on Ubuntu.

Hi Rishabh,

I downloaded the linux installer from here: http://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-vision/esd/TDAx/vision-sdk/latest/index_FDS.html

In the Docs, there is "VisionSDK_Linux_UserGuide". Go to page 5, section 2.3. It mentions that this SDK release supports only TDA2x, TDA2EX and TDA2PX EVMs. I have a TDA3x Starter Kit and TDA3x RVP from D3 Engineering. I want to know if this SDK can be used for the hardware I have.

If not, Is using Windows SDK the only option for me? I prefer using Linux installer as we use Ubuntu as our main development environment and would like to know any other options we have.

Hi Keerthi,

You are looking at wrong user guide. Which OS do you want to use in your use case: Linux or BIOS?

Rishabh,

I want to install the Vision SDK on a Linux Ubuntu 14.04 computer. I know that TDA3x itself cannot host linux on it, so BIOS will be used.

Hi,

As I stated previously SDK on Linux supports TDA3x.
You should see chapter "2.2 Linux Installation" of VisionSDK_UserGuide_TDA3xx.pdf.
