Engine_createNode> Remote node creation FAILED (0x80008008)

Hi All,

I am trying to create  a codec server on the DSP , in BeagleBoard XM / WinCE 7.0 platform. I get the error of remote node creation failed. What could be the issue?

    Srikanth,

    Based on another post http://e2e.ti.com/support/embedded/f/353/t/70176.aspx it looks like you have gotten past this problem. Can you please post back what the issue was so that someone who reads the post knows how to fix it. Also it is desirable to put logs as attachment to make it easier to read the post. You can attach files to post by going to the "options" tab of the post (it is right next to the "Compose" tab) and then attaching/saving the file.

    Having said that please note that DVSDK has not been tested with WinCE 7 yet and that is why you maybe encountering some of the issues. If you have gotten past the problem please follow up on the post as to what you did to fix the issue.

    I realized while debuggin on DSP side that the process call in the DSP has an incorrect function pointer set and hence the crash in DSP, and so I knew it was RTSC package mistake.  (function pointer mismatch)

    I had taken the RTSP packaging reference files from some other project (using different version of tools). So I now took the sample RTSC packaging from the samples, and re-did the steps. And it worked.
