My name is Francisco Garay, I would like to know if in the TMS320C6416 DSP Starter Kit (DSK) is posibble add daughter board of medikal kit (for example ADS1299 etc).

Hi,

As I see in ADS1299 datasheet it uses SPI interface for control & communication. Unfortunately from TMS320C6416 Datasheet I see that this DSP does NOT contain SPI interface. However there is the possibility to use McBSP port as SPI interface and connect it to ADS1299.

Have a look at the McBSP Reference Guide (www.ti.com/.../spru580g.pdf), it should be possible to connect the ADS1299 (as SPI slave) to the TMS320C6416 (McBSP as SPI master) through the SPI interface. Carefully study section 9 SPI Protocol: CLKSTP from the reference guide and see if this will be suitable for your case.

Good afternoon Yordan,

Please I have one question, I was reading datasheet of TMS320C5515 DSP Evaluation Module, and I see analogo front end connectors, So I need to know if ADS1299 EEG module, ADS1298 ECG Module are compatible with TMS320c5515 DSP Evaluation for me to proceed with your purchase.

Hi Francisco,

Glancing through the EVM 5515 schematics: support.spectrumdigital.com/.../evm5515_Schematics.pdf

It has SPI interface pins outputted on J13 (See page 18 of the schematics), so you should be able to connect it to the ADS1299 or ADS1298 Performance Demonstration kits.

Also you can see that the TMS320C5517 EVM is in the Related Products for ADS1298 Performance Demonstration KIt:
