UART expansion through External memory Interface

It seems to me that you should be able to connect the XR16L788 to the EMIF A of the OMAP-L138.  I don't see anything in the interface to suggest there would be an issue.

You will find this information in the TMS320C674x/OMAP-L1x Processor External Memory Interface A (EMIFA) User's Guide (Rev. E) which is available on the OMAP-L138 Product Folder.

There are 2 EMIFs on this device.  One is dedicated to DDR2/mDDR which is EMIF B.  The other supports asynchronous memory interfaces which is EMIF A.

I was going through the schematic for the UI interface board from Logic PD. In the schematic pin E9 is shown as EMA _A[23], but in the datasheet of OMAP L138, there is nothing like that. How come there is a A[23] line in the schematic, is it a mistake or some form of configuration. I also wanted to know what is the maximum amount of NAND flash I can connect on the EMF A, is there any application note to help in interfacing NAND flash to the device.
