I tried to create the examples using the scripts provided in the PDK.

First i ran the setupenv script then the

creatproject, script the example projects will not build

the program discovers the projects but does not create them.

for each example project that it tried to create it returns

"The System cannot find the specified file"

I followed the steps from the webpage that shows you how to do this but i haven't been successful

Here's what i followed

Is there an order that the scripts have to be in, also i looked at the scripts and the PDK shortname appears wrong when the scripts' echo command displays the variable

is there another tool that i am missing?

Try below steps,

1. Open CCS and discover all the products that have been installed during the SDK installation.
2. Have you installed processor SDK in default installation path ? If no then, please set the SDK_INSTALL_PATH to the correct path.
3. Set TOOLS_INSTALL_PATH to point to directory where CCS is installed.
4. Run the setupenv script.
5. Run the pdk example script.

Alfredo,

I ran into a similar problem once, and I seem to remember it being related to the system environment. There are a number of environment variables used in the pdkProjectCreate.sh script. I would recommend that you make sure CCS_INSTALL_PATH and TOOLS_INSTALL_PATH are set properly. If you have your SDK installed anywhere other than the default directory, the path will not be set correctly.

CCS has already discovered it. Everything is in the default directory from install, Where do I set the path, is it in the script? Or while the script is running

You can set the environment variables in the shell (assuming Linux). You could also dig through the script and set them manually. It may help to look at how those variables are used in the script. Apart from that, I'll have to let the guys from TI help you out.

I am unable to re-produce the issue here.

1. What is the Processor SDK version used?
2. In windows command prompt that is used to create exmaple, type the command "set" and attach the dump here.

TOOLS_INSTALL_PATH is missing on your environment variable. Set the tools path and try building the pdk example.

I added the TOOLS_INSTALL_PATH as mentioned above
ran the script twice with and without quotes but i still get the same results
