AMIC110: EtherCAT DI/DO configuration

Part Number: AMIC110

Hi Sir

We used AMIC110 for ethercat slave application:

We have the question about DI/DO configuration.

To my understanding, ethercat slave device can be set as   ( 8 DI + 8 DO ),  (16 DI + 16 DO) , 32 DI or 32-DO channels.

Do you know what is the max. DI & DO channels AMIC110 can offer ?

  • The RTOS team have been notified. They will respond here.
  • Yimin,

EtherCAT on Sitara uses on-chip bus rather than digital I/O in ASIC/FPGA solution as PDI interface. Any GPIOs in AMIC110 not being used/muxed with other interfaces, e.g. MII, can be used as digital I/O channel. There are 4 bank of 32 GPIO pins plus additional 32 enhanced digital I/O in each PRU.
Please refer to the white paper or data sheet for EtherCAT feature on Sitara -
