Hi,

I noticed that K2G does not support NAND device. The latest TRM (SPRUHY8H - Revised June 2018) says :

Due to device limitation, NAND functionality of the GPMC is not supported and the NAND
functionality described in Section 7.3, General-Purpose Memory Controller (GPMC) is not
applicable.

Is this really true ?

Ok, but this may be critical issue for our K2G customers. Do you have any plan to support NAND feature in the revised silicon revision ?

Yordan, Ok thanks. Expecting your quick reply. Some background -- In the previous version of data sheet/TRM offers NAND feature, but now in the latest version it no longer supports... As i mentioned, my customer probably expects NAND support on K2G. What was the device limitation ?

Hi Kawada-san
We also plan to add this as a usage note in the errata doc - simply to highlight again that NAND is not supported - so that if customers miss the update in TRM, they are hopefully aware of this limitation via the errata docs.

There is no plan to publish additional details/background on this - just highlight the limitation.
Currently no plans to fix either.
If you have specific customer project details/OS/ concerns you want to share, please route them to us / me via the TIJ field team as needed
