TMS320C6748: How to open the .brd file of reference design

I have downloaded the the reference design file OMAP-L138_C6748_LCDK_PCB-004_r4a.brd, but i could not open it with cadence 16.5. Could you tell me that by which version of Cadence the reference file was created, and how could i open that successfully.

There is a free Cadence viewer, which you can use:
www.cadence.com/.../allegro-downloads-start.html

Hi Kovachev,

Thanks for your reply. Now I open the file successfully with a free Cadence viewer, but the .brd file could not be edited. So i have one question if the customers have any right to edit the reference design .brd file, or we could only view that design. If the .brd file could be edited according to the actual demand, the development of customers may be easier.

Hi Kevin,

Yes, customers could use the design files & modify them, that is why they are publicly available.
It seems that older versions of Alegro Cadence cannot open files created with newer versions of their products. Sorry but this is out of the scope of TI support and I cannot help further.
