Linux/TDA2P-ACD: Mflash Utility on Ubuntu Failed

Hi Abhay,

At our end mflash is working fine on Ubuntu.
If I remember our previous discussions correctly, it was working on Ubuntu for you as well.
Please let me know if you have change anything since then or it never worked for you on Ubuntu.
What is the version that you are using.

Hello Rishabh,

In our previous discussions, we were facing issues in generating sbl_mflash image using the script "sbl_mflash_create.sh" on Ubuntu.
We haven't changed anything in the code that we got from you. It worked fine on Windows, we were able to flash it and we thought the same procedure would work on Ubuntu as well, but we actually never tried to flash on Ubuntu machine & our client uses only Linux system.
We are using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS version. It actually should have been working on Ubuntu but we are not able to find out what additional things are required to be done inorder to make it work on Linux machine.
Can you suggest if any additional changes are required to be done.

I have compiled mflash on Linux separately using "gcc -o mflash mflash_uart.c".

Actually we have delivered the mflash code to our client previously which is not working on the Linux machine , so now we need fix the issue and deliver them asap.

I gave you the patch which was tested on Windows for TDA2PX. Give me a day or two so that I can test it and get it working on Ubuntu. 

From the logs I can see some UART configuration problem as the ASIC ID doesn't looks right. Let me see if I get the same

Thanks for the clarification. Actually we need to deliver this in a day or two. Our client have a demo at there end.

I tried to run mflash on my linux PC which worked out fine. I was not able to reproduce the errors.
Can you try with the latest release. I tried on that.

Do You mean Procession SDK 03.04 ? Please confirm.
We are using Processor SDK 03.03 for all our customer software release.

Yes, support for mflash on tda2px has officially gone in Procession SDK 03.04 . Trying it on 3.04 will ensure whether the problem is due to some system setting or the code itself.

We installed Processor SDK 03.04 and did the whole mflash process again, but still we are getting the same error.  Screenshot is attached.

We are not able to find what could be the issue.

During our last webex with Prawal, I tried the mflash procedure on two different Ubuntu machines. While it worked on one machine, it gave error (screenshot is shared in previous post) on other one.

We are observing strange behavior with mflash.
We had reproduced this issue once a few days ago but mflash is working consistently today.
I will keep you posted whenever I have an update.
