error while load program in ccsv3.3

Hi all,

       This is Saravanan. While loading ".out" program in  ccs v3.3 i'm receiving the following error. I'm working with piccolo f28027 experimenter's kit.*

The following is the error,

Loader: One or more sections of your program falls into a memory region that is not writable. These regions will not be actually be written to the target. Check your linker configuration and/or memory map.

 

Also tell what for we want to go DSP/BIOS set up configuration and all. Whether it's needed if we are having on board usb type jtag emulator

    Saravanan,

    You have 2 separate questions here, one pertaining to BIOS and one pertaining to CCS.  Please post your CCS question to the CCS forum.

    I'll try to address your BIOS question.

    BIOS ships with a setup called ti.platforms.control28027.  If you don't see that setup then I would guess that you are using a very old version of BIOS.  In that case I highly suggest updating to the latest version.

    Is BIOS needed if you are using on-board emulation?  No, the software you are executing is fully independent of the emulator.
