AM5728: Pinmux tool check boxes

Part Number: AM5728

Hi, can I understand the usage of the pull up/down and Rx check box in the PinMux tool?

  1. Is pull up/down checkbox used for input buffer after the processer quit POR? If so,  what's the pull down resistor value ?
  2. In the AM57x datasheet  table 4-2 Ball Characteristics, colcoumn BALL RESETSTATE [7] and BALL RESET REL.STATE [8] shows PU/PD in each status, does this has something to do with the pull up/down checkbox in the PinMux?
  3. what's the Rx check box for?

  • Hi,

    1. Yes, the pinmux tool is used for configuring the device AFTER reset. Resistor values are not available, you can calculate them from the input currents in the AM572x Datasheet (section 5.7). Look for "Input current at each I/O pin with weak pulldown enabled measured when PAD = VDDS" and "Input current at each I/O pin with weak pullup enabled measured when PAD = 0".
    2. No, these are default states during reset and at reset release time.
    3. Receiver enabled.
