RTOS: NullSource + Display >> output shows delayed

Hello,

I have sample use case as,

NullSource -> Display

Giving input file for null source is yuv 420 semi planar and HDMI output display.

Details of input file,

width : 544

height : 344

frame rate : 25Hz

Problem is, on the output shown on screen is very slow.

Attaching statics logs for reference.

We are not processing any data, still the frame rate is very low.

    From the log i can see your Null_src link is getting notify call at 31.25 FPS but its not able to read the data at that speed.

    Can you please try with any lower resolution file and try the fps will increase.
    In your usecase its doing the file read of raw data which will slow.

    From the log i can see the fps has been increased compared to the earlier one.

    The size of each frame will be very high for raw data compared to encoded data.
    For example if you are reading a yuv420 format data then in every call null_src is readin 352*288*1.5 bytes of data and reading this much data will take some time.

    From the log its been clear than its getting notified for new data every 32 msec but at that time file read is not complete so its not able to send that data to next link.
