We are trying to utilize the DM6446 Davinci resizer to best advantage for our application. The TI document Understanding the DaVinci Resizer (SPRAA17B, July 2008) mentions a Luminance Enhancement function between the Horizontal Resizer and the Vertical Resizer (Register YENH , Luminance Enhancer, Address 0x01C7:0CA8):
(1) Is the Section 3.6 The Edge Enhancement Algorithm of SPRAA17B a description of the “luminance enhancer” algorithm?
2) (2) We need further detailed information with regard to any specific parameter values (GAIN, SLOPE, CORE?) required for use of the luminance enhancement function . Are these parameter values stored within register YENH and if so what is the specific register mapping arrangement?
3) (3) How is the selection made for use of either the and 3-tap or 5-tap filter luminance enhancer? Is selection mapped to bit(s)in the YENH register?
