Does AM1808 support SDHC card?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM1808

Does the kernel driver of AM1808 support SDHC card? I try with an 16G card, but it cannot detect it.

Colman

  • Colman,

Yes, SDHC is supported. We have tested with a 32GB card.

Is your issue specific to 16G card or are you unable to detect any card?

There are no configuration options to switch on, SDHC support should be available out of the box so I am surprised.

Do you get any error messages? Have you tried with more than one card (preferably of different make).

    Thanks,

    Sekhar

  • Dear Sekhar,

Sorry for misleading you, it may not related to SDHC issue. I tested it again for more cards, and the results are:

Cards that can be detected and accessed:

          Kingston 2GB, Kingmax 1GB, Kingston 8GB SDHC.

Cards that cannot detected (just silence, no message shown on the console):

         Adata 16GB SDHC, Sandisk 2GB.

Both the Adata 16G and Sandisk 2G can work with my notebook PC's SD card reader. I think it may be a compatiblity issue.

    Regards,

    Colman
