TMS320C6678: evm quickstart windows host

I installed usbcom driver.  connected the usb and Ethernet cables and power.  verified the dip switches.  configured the hyperterminal properties as defined in the quickstart guide.   pressed the reset-full button.  no response on the terminal window.  no web service interface.

    Hi Ken,

    Recheck the COM port you use.
    I have connected my EVM to my PC and executed:
    sudo minicom -D /dev/ttyUSB0

    I work on Ubuntu 16.04. After powering up the board, I was able to connect to the serial port /dev/ttyUSB0, and got the following output on the console:
    IBL version: 1.0.0.16
    IBL: PLL and DDR Initialization Complete
    IBL Result code 00
    IBL: Booting from NOR
    platform_init Done
    Start BIOS 6
    QMSS successfully initialized
    CPPI successfully initialized
    PA successfully initialized
    HUA version 2.00.00.04
    Setting hostname to tidemo-079501
    MAC Address: 00-17-EA-F5-E2-B9
    Configuring DHCP client
    PASS successfully initialized
    Ethernet subsystem successfully initialized
    Ethernet eventId : 48 and vectId (Interrupt) : 7
    Registration of the EMAC Successful, waiting for link up ..
    Service Status: DHCPC : Enabled : : 000
    Service Status: THTTP : Enabled : : 000
    Service Status: DHCPC : Enabled : Running : 000

    I am not getting IP, because I didn't connect the ethernet cable to my LAN card (I didn't want to configure my pc as DHCP server), but the board is working as expected.
