3G support in DaVinci

We are developing a SDI Board with TMS320DM6467CZUT7 and GS2972 (SDI Transmitter, Mnfr: Gennum Corp). TMS320DM6467CZUT7 will be used as Video Pattern generator and GS2972 serializes the digital bit patterns. The VPIF bus is interfaced between both. I am expecting to generate 3G stream out with the help of TMS320DM6467CZUT7. When checking GS2972 the device has the capability to support 2.97Gbps data in SMPTE 424.

By verifying the VPIF guide of TMS320DM6467CZUT7, I can find that BT.1120, BT656 and SMPTE 296M modes only getting supported.

Is the TMS320DM6467CZUT7 Pxr VPIF supports for 3G (SMPTE 424).
How the VPIF Clock can be increased to 150MHz.

If the PXR TMS320DM6467CZUT7 is not supporting for SMPTE 424 , Pls let me know the alternative

DM6467CZUT7 supports only 108MHz VPIF clock. If you need 150MHz VPIF, you need to use 1GHz DM6467T (http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/tms320dm6467t.html).

As you know already, DM646x does not directly support serialized video data out. It outputs embedded YUV422 data (both 8-bit Y/C muxed and 16-bit non-muxed). It relies on the external HDSDI transmitter which "serializes" this parallel data. DM646x VPIF is quite flexible, with a programmable clock up to 150MHz, and programmable screen resolution up to 8Kx4K.

If by SMPTE424, you are referring to serialized 1080P50/60 output, which requires 150MHz pixel clock on VPIF, then the only possible DM646x solution is the DM6467T Srirami mentioned above.

Thanks Paul and Srirami. Also When checking with DM6467T VPIF spec, it claims 150MHz clock, but SMPTE 296M, BT1120, BT656 only supported (Not SMPTE424).
As I am using GS2972 (3G SDI Transmitter from Gennum, which accepts SMPTE 424M /425 standard data and converts 3G) Is it possible to generate 3G SDI stream by having our DM6467T VPIF connected to it.

SMPTE 424m is not directly supported by DM6467 since it is a serial standard, DM6467 has a parallel video interface.

I believe GS2972 + DM6467 should be ok.
