C6742 ADC Interface

What is the best way to evaluate TI ADCs using the C6748 EVM?  We were looking at the ADS7959 but basically need 10 channels, 160KSPS each channel, at 8 or 10 bits.  It looks like two ADS7959’s could be used to accomplish this over the spi port.  Does the TI C6748 EVM have an easy way to connect to TI ADC eval boards?

The total BW required on the ADC’s in this application are 1.6 Million samples/second @ 8 bits.  Please confirm that the SPI port on the C6742 can handle this.

    Scott,

    I'm not aware of any ADC daughtercards for the C6748 EVM at this time.  I think it would have to be a custom board that interfaces with the EVM connectors.

    Assuming 1.6MS x 8bits, it looks like you would need just under 13MHz SPI operation.  This seems to be reasonable based on the datasheet.
