Linux/AM3352: SysVinit support in SDK

Part Number: AM3352

Tool/software: Linux

Does Processor SDK for Linux v4.3 include support for SysVinit as an alternative to systemd? Our team is porting an application which has dependencies on SysVinit to a new system based on Processor SDK v4.3. The Processor SDK release notes state that it was migrated to systemd init back in v3.00, but is SysVinit still available with Processor SDK v4.3? If yes, can you provide any pointers on how to reconfigure the stack to use SysVinit instead of systemd?

  • Hello rperezti,

Please, see this thread. If they rebuild the latest processor-sdk-04.03.00.05-config.txt OE config by appending ARAGO_SYSVINIT="1" to <tisdk>/build/conf/local.conf file, they will have the SystemV service manager installed on their rootfs.

    Best regards,
    Kemal
