FAQ: I have received a link to download, but nothing happens when I click the link.
IMPORTANT for all browsers – If you have gone through export screening and have received your download link via e-mail from TI, your link may only be active for 72 hours. Please place your request again, to get additional 72-hour access.
Internet Explorer users – Microsoft made a recent change for downloads. The following may apply to Win 7/Vista and/or Internet Explorer 7 or 8 (IE7, IE8). At the “Secure Content Only” prompt, first, be sure to enable “non-secured” content. Then, look for the border at the top of your screen and click it. Then click Download File. You will be asked again to enable non-secured content; be sure to enable it. Now the standard “Download” dialog box should show up.
Please reference CCSv4_on_IE8_Win7_Vista.pdf for detailed instructions.
Also in some browsers, the file does download, but there is a delay. The browser waits until the entire file is downloaded into an IE Temp directory, until giving you the prompt for where to save it/open with.
You might avoid these problems by trying, instead, to download using other browsers, such as Firefox, Google Chrome, or even IE6. Also, to compare answers, another option is to see how the link acts on another computer temporarily, to retrieve the download.
