Hi,
I want to to communicate between two processors (AM5718) at about 50Mbps.
For this purpose in out earlier designs we used to use McBSP interface.
Since AM5718 doesnot have an McBSP interface ....
Can I use McASP in Burst Transfer mode to achieve this feat??
ie 50Mbps data rate in each direction
1. As i understand every data packet will send a frame sync
2. Data width: Single data bit used.(Say for tx : 1 txclk,1 frame, 1 data)
3. max clock rate is 50MHz. Internal clock generation.
4. Source synchronous mode ie clock send along with data & data registered on received clock
5. On board communication no PHY (LVDS/RS485) used. less that 20cm trace lengths.
Can I also increase data with in the same mode to achieve better data rates at same clk speeds??
Please advice.
