It is not mandatory to use DSP/BIOS.

Yes that helps me a lot. I will take a look at those examples from the PSP Bios package. From what I see the projects included are all CCS V3 based so I will port them to CCS v4 to begin with. I'll post again when I hit a wall :)

Great! That will help a lot. Sure, some stuff are board specific but I just need a little sample of how to start. I'll manage the conversion to mine. Also, on the page you gave me, all the examples not available on the OMAPL138 EVM, are they unavailable because of the board configuration or because of the OMAPL138 itself?

The examples not converted between L137 and L138 were due to the board configuration and would thus require a significant variation in source code. To be specific, the GPIO and TIMER examples (excluding TIMER_interrupt) make use of the user LEDs on the L137 EVM board, which are accessed through the GPIO peripheral. On the L138 EVM, the user LEDs are accessed through the I2C. If you are interested in looking at the peripheral setup (such as using the Timer as a watchdog or using the comparator features), you can always look at the L137 examples as reference. There are differences for the PINMUX registers and system interrupt numbers but the peripheral setup and functionality will be the same.

I had a question about the timers. On the ARM side, there is a linux-davinci kernel running. I was wondering where I can see which hardware timers it's using so I don't break everything setting some timers on the DSP side.
