I have seen some issues with composite video output. The issue has been observed on both the Beagleboard as well as a customer's custom hardware. The issue has been observed with 2.6.29 and 2.6.32 Linux kernels and associated Arago file systems.
Something is hammering the video output and causing the video color burst and frame information to go away for a few frames, maybe six or so. Here you can see three well formed white video frames and then for some reason (the bug we are looking for) the color burst and video information go away.
A short number of frames later it appears that the circuitry is being powered up and we get what appears to be the phantom signal as the power comes up.
Then the system reverts to steady state well formed frames and good video returns. This sequence happens about once every ten seconds or so and manifests itself to the outside world as a display screen that looks like it is under water.
Anyone seen this behavior or know what's responsible?
Thanks,
Brad
