Assume that your questions are more at system level (and not necessarily Linux related)
Would you expect the system to come out of Low Power state(and also elaborate on this) - are both RTC, CAN your intended wakeup sources
We dont support RTC mode on J6. So the way we see CAN wakeup is as below -
1. Device is OFF, PMIC has gated the power
WUP on bus -> CAN TRCV detects it and uses inhibit/wakup pins to signal to PMIC which boot the device. In this mode, J6 does cold boot and responds to CAN message. We can discuss on CAN response time based on your system needs.
2. Device is in standby, which means that the cores are in WFE/OFF.
We may not necessarily put the CAN TRCV in sleep mode. In case there is any activity on bus, the message comes to message RAM and an interrupt from CAN controller wakes up the core. This mode may not be as power friendly as previous.
