CCS/J6EVM5777: How to debug RTOS based use-case of Vision SDK with the help of CCS?

Hello All,

We are working on Vision SDK 3.4. And we have integrated our RTOS use-case into same Vision SDK 3.4. To debug use-case, we are using CCS tool with XDS110 Debug Probe.

Could you please provide the steps to debug with the help of CCS?

Thanks for quick feedback and user guide for debugging.

I went through document but could not find solution for my query.

My question is like below:
1. I am working on VSDK 3.4. Building with "tda2xx_evm_bios_all"configuration and with below config options:

PROC_IPU1_0_INCLUDE=yes
PROC_IPU1_1_INCLUDE=no
PROC_IPU2_INCLUDE=yes
PROC_A15_0_INCLUDE=yes
PROC_DSP1_INCLUDE=yes
PROC_DSP2_INCLUDE=no
PROC_EVE1_INCLUDE=no
PROC_EVE2_INCLUDE=no
PROC_EVE3_INCLUDE=no
PROC_EVE4_INCLUDE=no

and

PROFILE=debug

2. I am able to build successfully and as ouput I received below files:
vision_sdk_a15_0_debug.xa15fg,
vision_sdk_c66xdsp_1_debug.xe66,
vision_sdk_ipu1_0_debug.xem4,
vision_sdk_ipu2_debug.xem4

3. And able to generate AppImage and MLO successfully.

4. I want to know to how to debug RTOS based use-case with the help of emulator and CCS tools.

Hi Chetan,

Did you check Load using CCS section of VisionSDK_UserGuide_TDA2xx.pdf.

Hello Yordan,

We went through the document what you shared and followed steps are given in that document.
But still we are not able to debug our code.

We found that the document is not so clear how to debug the VSDK RTOS based use-case.
Like, it is not mentioned that whether we need AppImage and MLO to debug the code.

Could you (or anyone) please tell us the detailed steps to debug VSDK RTOS based use-case as we can save time in doing experiments?

Hi Chetan,

You don't need AppImage and MLO to debug Vision SDK use case.
Hence the same is not mentioned in the document.

I think document has all the details needed to run VSDK using CCS.
If you have any specific questions you can post on forum.
