I was reading spru280i last night and I found a phrase under the 1.2 Tools Descriptions section. I think this phrase makes a misunderstanding so that I'd like to discuss about it here. Please take a look at page 19 of this user guide.
We all know that C/C++ compiler produces assembler source which differs from machine code and this assembler source would be translated into machine code object module in the "Assembler" as we can see in the image below.
I'll be glad to find any reply from TI C55x software development engineers about this matter. I think C/C++ compiler doesn't translate C/C++ source file directly into machine code object module and this phrase needs to be corrected.
