TDA2PXEVM: Is it possible to generate a test pattern with TDA2p

Hello All,

I have TDA2px EVM and custom ECU based on TDA2p platform. I want to know if it is possible to generate a test pattern in TDA2px so that it can be viewed to validate video output connection over FPD link.

Please suggest.

Hi Tejeswini,

The display (DSS) do not have a built in color bar generator. You could use display driver provided as part of PDK/VisionSDK to send pattern on the display.

Also, the serializer should be programmed to send over FPD Link III.

Thanks for the reply. Can you please provide reference. Also, Is it possible to use dss driver to generate test pattern from any stand alone test program available in PDK? (Avoiding to use vision SDK).

Hi Tejeswini,

You can use DSS baremetal app if driver is not a concern for you: PROCESSOR_SDK_VISION_03_04_00_00\ti_components\drivers\pdk_01_10_00_08\packages\ti\drv\vps\examples\dss\dss_baremetal_app.
Otherwise you can use the display driver example: PROCESSOR_SDK_VISION_03_04_00_00\ti_components\drivers\pdk_01_10_00_08\packages\ti\drv\vps\examples\dss\displayDss.
