Hi All,

We have a horizontal lcd, but we want to use it as vertical display. So, we have to rotate LCD by GPU. But i checked the processor(AM4376), found it doesn't support GPU.

i would like to confirm whether AM4376 support GPU, and if AM4376 doesn't support GPU, how to rotate LCD, do anybody has other solution?

Yes, AM4376 doesn't have SGX530 IP. It is only available on AM4378 and AM4379 processor. Accelerated rotation on AM437x is only possible using SGX530. In absence of SGX530, you will need to try rotation in software running on ARM. Rotation using software will not give good performance. There's open source gstreamer plugin named geometrictransform that seems to support rotation. You can give that a try if you are using gstreamer in your application or familiar with it. There might be other options to do rotation using software, but we do not have any recommendations.

i also found AM4376 has some registers for graphics rotation and video rotation. and i would like to confirm the graphics rotation flag and video rotation flag can't be used for LCD output, right? the LCD, Graphics and Video output are separated controller, right?
