TMS320c5515 Storing fingerprint data in flash memory

Hi;

What do you mean by "...unable to store the fingerprint in to the flash"? Does the unit tell you that "registeration failed"? Or after power off, the previously enrolled data lost?

Hi John,

I presume that you want to write your own program with the FDK and have trouble in communicating the SPI flash.

Maybe you have already realized that the sample program does not give out the part of code. So you either have to write the driver on your own or ask for the driver with the flash company or Ti. The datesheet of the SPI flash is available here.

Hope it would be helpful. And I think it would be helpful if we,and those who have purchased C5515 FDK, could share some programming experiences.

   I am trying to develope my own fingerprint locking system for my Senior design project. My intentions were alter the code that was preloaded on the device then incorporate the device with a locking system. As of now I am unable to store multiple fingerprints in the flash memory. Once the fingerprints are stored I want to perform matching. I am trying to write the code for accessing the spi flash or some other flash device but I am not having any success.
