Hi,
We are having Am335x processor based product. We are using Ethernet interface.
After booting Ethernet interface is initialized, link is established and we are able to receive and transmit packets. But after some duration Ethernet interface is not working properly. We are not able to receive or transmit packets.
We debugged and found out that we are getting DMA error.
Following are the images taken after getting DMA error
If images are observed, then TXHDP is 0x4a102898.
TX Buffer Descriptors at 0x4a102898 are
Tx Data Word – 0 = 0x4a1028ac
Tx Data Word – 1 = 0x80186a00
Tx Data Word – 2 = 0x000005ea
Tx Data Word – 3 = 0xE01105ea
From TX Data word - 3 I have set SOP bit, EOP bit, Ownership bit.
I am understanding why it is throwing SOP error.
I have attached the images of only one case. But I am getting different DMA TX errors in different runs like "SOP error", "Ownership bit not set in SOP buffer". Due to this DMA error RX channel is also getting stopped, i.e RXHDP descriptor is becoming NULL.
How can we debug this problem?
