Linux/AM5728: SD card boot fails on GP EVM

Hi,

we are using AM5728 EVM.. we are booting the linux from sdcard.

recently(from today to be precise), it is not booting from sdcard. processor is shutting down after few seconds of power on.

please help us in determining the problem

Hi,

Have you checked the SD card? The processor will shut down after several seconds if no valid boot source is detected. Also check the boot jumper settings on the board.

Hi,

the same sd card is working with other AM528 EVM perfectly. boot jumper settings are not changed

In this case I'm afraid there may be something wrong with the board itself. You can check if it's eligible for return. Read this post: e2e.ti.com/.../702076

Is there any possibility that the I2C part of the Soc creating problems during board-id reading or PMIC register writing?

This would presume that the processor is already booted into MLO.

Is there any way ( apart from UART port )to identify up to which stage the processor is reached?
