TMS320C6748: uart communication

Please elaborate on your question. There is no way to understand the issue unless you share some details:
Are you using Processor SDK RTOS?
How are you setting your uart? How do you initialize your board?
Does the Processor SDK RTOS examples behave the same way as your custom application?
Have you done any modifications on your board?

the problem is with the UART communication to the serial terminal of computer. the computer is detecting the serial port but when the program from starterware for uart is dumped and debugged i am unable to visualize the message from the uart in the serial terminal.

the program in question is from the starterware as UART_674X_C6748_LCDK 6748 USING THE CC STUDIO 7

The UART executable code is from the 6748 starterware , which when executed send specified message through the serial port visualized in serial port terminal in windows tera term. the program is compiled and programmed to board, while running the debugger i am unable to receive any response from the board through UART, hope this makes my question clear.
