AM1808 GPIO will not go high (GP2[2])

Processor : AM1808ZWT

Pin A5 will go high when it is configured as EMA_WE_DQM[1], but is always low when configured as GP2[2].

When PINMUX6[23:20] is set to 1h, the output goes high, thus proving that the processor can drive the pin high. When the same field in the PINMUX register is set to 8h to configure the pin as GP2[2[, the pin is always low, regardless of the GP2[2] bit setting in the DIR23, OUT_DATA23, SET_DATA23, and CLR_DATA23 registers. The INDATA23 register indicates the pin goes high and low when 4h is written to SET_DATA23 and CLR_DATA23 respectively. However, a DVM shows the pin is always low.

Any ideas?
