    Please continue reading SPRUG82A for further information on the definition of the term "touch" and the assembly function "touch()" as provided in the document. The document explains the term in good detail. And the document includes the assembly function with comments to show its use.

    I apologize that I will not be of much help. Your questions do not match my understanding of this. All I know of this is from the document you named in your original post. I did a pdf search for the keyword 'touch' and read each place it appeared, finding the definition of the term, explanation of the underlying operation, reason for needing this operation, and the source code as I described above.

    Sorry I was not able to understand the cache question.
