MP3 decode on OMAP4 Tesla

Do we have any plans to support our mp3 codec on the Tesla core in OMAP4?

If not, can you tell me if the mp3 codec itself is all C code or is part of it assembly (linear or parallel)?

    Brad,

      Codecs team did not develop any modules on Tesla. Wireless team outsourced the development to a 3rd party called CouthIT. I am not very sure if they have developed MP3, this project was halted mid way and Wireless team moved to ARM based codecs. Some one from wireless team can help you on this question.

      It is not clear if your question is related to encoder or decoder. We do not have MP3 encoder on any of the fixed point DSPs for mass market. MP3 decoder is mostly in C except for one module, MDCT is in linear asm on C64x+
