Linux/AM3359: ICE board SD card boot issue

Hello all,

I recently bought an AM3359 ICE board.I created an SD card with default images using create-sdcard.sh script.I connected the USB cable to the USB/JTAG port and configured the minicom accordingly.The jumper is also connected between pins 2 and 3 for SD boot.But when I power on i am not able to see any debug prints in the console.What could be the issue?

What Linux version is this? Where did you download it from?

Hi Biser,
Appreciate your quick response.The linux version is 4.9.49 and i downloaded it from this page :

software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html

I used the ti-processor-sdk-linux-am335x-evm-05.00.00.15-Linux-x86-Install.bin to install the SDK onto my Ubuntu 14.04.

Did you erase the SPI flash? See processors.wiki.ti.com/.../AM335x_Industrial_Communication_Engine_EVM_Rev2_1_HW_User_Guide

Hi Biser,
No,I didn't erase the spi flash.Since the board is new,will there be any images flashed into to SPI flash?.Anyway,I will try erasing the SPI flash.TIA.

The SPI flash is factory programmed with an RTOS bootloader and app. You need to erase it so that the ROM code can skip it and go to MMC0 at boot time.
