CCS/PROCESSOR-SDK-AM437X: RTOS analyzer

Hello all,

I'm trying to get the profiler on my AM437x target but can't find documentation that relates to CCSv7. Most of what I find point to CCSv5 or older versions. I've installed the TI-RTOS for Sitara (tirtos_sitara_2_00_01_23) and versions of UIA.

I modified the cfg file as described in 3.2 here (http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/spruh43f/spruh43f.pdf)

I can build my project and launch the debugger session but the actual "tools->RTOS Analyzer" is not showing after initialization.

Should I be able to get the RTOS analyzer on my target? Any ideas?

Are you saying that you cannot see the above 2 menu options in the Tools menu in CCS? Can you make sure that you are in the "Debug" perspective? The tools menu changes depending on which perspective you are in. If so, there's some sort of problem with your CCS installation. I'm not aware of any specific issue with these tools in CCSv7.x. Is updating to CCSv8.x an option?

I installed a fresh 7.4 and it works! I can now see the menus...

My 8.1 install has the same issue it looks like.

It seems like if an install gets updated this bug appears.
