Vista 64-bit XDS100 Driver Install Issue for eZDSP TMS320VC5505

I installed CCS V4.0.0.16000 on Vista 64-bit machine and plugged in the eZDSP. Vista didn't recognize and tried to install the driver. I inserted the disc and it still couldn't install the driver. I did CCS software update uninstall/reinstall the driver. The same thing still happens. I couldn't find 4.0.2 CCS patch anywhere. What can I do to get this board working?

Hi Danai,

Please see the 64-bit section on the XDS100 wiki: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/XDS100#Q:_Does_XDS100_work_with_Window_7_64_bit.3F

They recommend running related .exe files in Windows XP compatibility mode.

I have had to to run code composer "as administrator" to properly install and update its contents on Vista and Windows 7.

You should have updated to CCS Version 4.1.3 or 4.2.0 when using the updater. These XDS100 issues should be fixed in these later versions.
