AM5728: SD card not detected

Hi-

I am using Wurth SD CARD push pull type connector (693071010811) instead of Alps type as shown in the TI-AM5728 EVM board.

But when i am trying to boot up - it is showing that - SD CARD is NOT detected.

I have the exact same schematic as shown in TI-AM5728 EVM.

I noticed that when i plug in the SD CARD to this Wurth connector- MMC1_SDCD Pin does NOT get pulled down to 1.8V. instead- it is still set to 3.3V.

Am i missing something ?

Is this a custom board? Do you see any boot messages?

yes- this is a custom board. Boot message is SD CARD not detected..

Let me know if you would like to take a look at the schematic.

Question-
As soon as SD CARD is detected- does the boot code need to change the MMC1_SDCD Line I/O voltage to 1.8V from 3.3V?

This would depend on the card type - whether is supports 1.8V I/O voltage.

This is the error message-

SPL: failed to boot from all boot devices

Please post the following information:
1. What PMIC do you use?
2. What are the power sources that you use to power VDD_SD, VDD_3V3 and VDDSHV8?

Hi Biser-
This is the same PMIC as used on TI-EVM board.
VDD_SD = output of MIC- which is 3.3
VDD_3V3 - This is from PS_3V3 with a switch ( same ref design as TI-EVM)
VDDSHV8 - Output of PMIC.

Lenin,

Do you have any HW changes in your custom board MMC design (beside the card socket) comparing with AM572x TI EVM?

I see you might have changes for card detect pin. Have you made any changes in u-boot DTS files?

Do you use AM57x TI PSDK? If yes, which version?

Can you attach full u-boot console log for AM57x TI EVM and for your custom board?
