RTOS/AMIC110: EtherCAT SYNC0 issue

Dear distinguished engineers,

I'm using AMIC110 and DSP F28379D. AMCI110 runs EtherCAT slave protocol and communicates with DSP though SPI.

Occasionally no sync0 signal is generated and SSC is forced to SAFEOP+ERROR, the error code is ALSTATUSCODE_NOSYNCERROR(0x2D).

Under what circumstances will no SYNC0 signal disappears?

Software version:

CCS7.1.0.0016, pdk_am335x_1_0_7, PRU-ICSS-EtherCAT_Slave_01.00.04.02.

This weird event only happens during the first connection with EtherCAT master. If AMIC110 enters into OP state, it will keep normal all the time.

Hi Lyu, Which Master are you using? are you using DC? what is your cycle time? I guess you are running EtherCAT slave stack in AMIC110? how do you know SYNC is missing?, do you have an scope on SYNC?

I think your demo is working OK, but if you want to check correctness of your steps, a colleague recently created a good overview video on how-to build and run DDR Less PRU-ICSS EtherCAT slave on AMIC110
