AM5728: Silicon errata i922

Errata for AM572x processors says that that there is a bug i922, which, essentially, renders ECC feature unusable for silicon revisions 1.1 and 2.0 (latest).
We would like to use AM5728 processor. Can you tell us

1. When the new AM5728 silicon revision with this bug fixed will appear?

2. Can we purchase revision 1.0, where this bug does not exist?

    John,

    The limitation discussed in i922 is not a 'bug'. This architectural limitation was implemented with knowledge of the limitation.  Many Multi-core SOC processors and DSPs have this limitation.  Unfortunately, it becomes painful when using an OS like Linux in an open coding environment.  As such, there are no plans to 'fix' this limitation in the AM57xx devices that have this limitation.  However, TI is currently launching the next generation device in this family that does contain logic in the DDR controller to overcome this limitation.  The DDR controller needed logic added to prevent sub-quanta accesses from invalidating the stored ECC control data.  These enhanced products will be available with part numbers AM574x.  Note that these new devices are still in the preview state and are expected to be fully released by the end of the year.  Also note that the AM574x devices are pin compatible with AM572x devices so you can begin development now with AM572x and migrate to AM574x when it is available.
