RTOS/TDA2PXEVM: Unable to load from CCS or SD card

Hi Richard,

Have you set the serial port to following configuration: 115200, 8, N and 1.
When you load via CCS what is PC for different CPUs. Is it hung in IPC attach?

Yes, the serial port is set to 115200, 8, N and 1. 

When I load and run via CCS, here are the PC values for the CPUs: 

A15_0: 0x88E05E10

IPU1_0: 0x84D11B48

IPU1_1: 0x845A2354

DSP1: 0x852F436C

DSP2: 0x85726E78

EVE_1 and EVE_2 were unable to be read while running. When I paused them, here were their PC values: 

EVE_1: 0x800EAB26

EVE_2: 0x811101BE

I don't think the code was hung in IPC attach.

The configuration seems to be fine.
Have you tried using another cable?
Also can you try to use "Tera term" and see if that works.

I have been using Term Term.

I have verified COM11 by unplugging and replugging the USB cable.

We are seeing any issue with UART prints with exact same settings as shown in above snapshot.
Can you try using this EVM on another PC.
It is possible that you need to update the drivers.

I have another PC which is able to interface with an older TDA2PXEVM ordered about 4 months ago.
When I try to use the new EVM (ordered a few weeks ago) with this PC, there is also no output to the serial terminal.
Is it possible that the two EVMs need different drivers to run?

We have both EVMs and same UART driver is working as silicon is same.
I am talking about windows drivers.

In that case, would different windows drivers be needed to interface with the two boards? Just to be clear, I have a PC that has serial communication working with the older EVM, but not the newer EVM.

Actually it should not be the case but I just want to rule out one possibility.
The issue you are facing doesn't seem to be related to EVM.

When I update the USB driver from device manager, Windows says that the driver is already up-to-date. Is there somewhere else I can try getting updated drivers from?
