TDA3: D3 RVP & Demo Visualizer

Hi,

I got the D3 RVP development kit. Connected the board to PC and able to launch the TI Demo Visualizer (Web based App). Got the errors in the console on i2c. I seriously have no clue what error means and why there is errors out of the box. Attached is the screenshot of the Visualizer showing the errors. Please enlighten me as i am brand new to this platform.

    Hi Khai,

    We have seen this issue in the past where the I2C times out. Have you provided separate power supplies for the RVP board and the radar front end?

    Thank you for the suggestion. You spotted right on. Didn't know I have to power the radar module. The i2c errors went away now.

    I have a follow up question though. Can we use the Demo Visualizer with the D3 Engineering RVP platform? After the I2C errors fixed, I tried fiddling around with the UI config and sent it down to the board. Didn't see anything happened (ie: the plots didn't show any activities). One thing i noticed was that in config, there is no selection for the xWR1243 radar module which I purchased from D3 together with the RVP.

    Hi Khai,

    The Demo Visualizer is not meant to work with the D3 RVP platform. The configuration is compiled in to the file vision_sdk\apps\src\rtos\radar\src\common\chains_common_sample_ar12xx_config.c
