Coming up to speed on linux and the AM3517. What is the best way to display really big numbers (e.g. 128 point) on the LCD? AFAIK, this means scalable fonts and access to the frame buffer. I am trying out directFB for starters, because i see it's in the libs of the dev board. However, how do i get CodeSourcery lite to use them?

    OK, the next discovery is Arago. Trying to make arago-base-image, bitbake fails on first task with "ERROR: fork failed: 12 (Cannot allocate memory)"

    Host is Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, 1G memory (470 M used). Root drive 9.2G, 3.2G free (dual boot using Wubi on XP machine).
    Build into attached USB drive, 900+G. Scratch directory on root drive. CodeSourcery Lite gnu-linux-eabi toolchain.

    Arago fork failure issue resolved (hopefully). Works on another Wubi with 2G memory. BTW, do yourself a favor and dont try it on a machine more than 2 years old.
