66AK2G12: performance benchmarks

Part Number: 66AK2G12

Hi team,

I am trying to find out if 66AK2G is powerful enough to do a 50th order FIR filter at 750 KHz sample rate (fixed or floating).

I have seen the benchmarks here:

but most of the data here is 15th order (16 coefficients) though considering how many samples these benchmarks claim for the given execution times, I am hopeful a 50th order FIR at 750 KHz would be feasible.  Can someone provide further insight?

Juan

  • Juan,

DSPLIB User guide provides a formula to compute the cycle count for FIR implementation that are different from what is implemented. Please check this out in the document link provided here:
    software-dl.ti.com/.../DSPLIB_C66x_TestReport.html

the list contains fixed, floating and double precision functions and corresponding formulas so please make sure you are utilizing the correct API for this computation.

what is the interface over which they plan to get the input data ? If it is McASP and using ADC in audio converter then please check for EVM details on what is supported over that interface.

    Regards,
    Rahul
