Hi,

I had some questions while I modified this use case. My SOC is TDA2EX.

I don't want to get frame-dropped videos. I made my own test and found that if I recorded 4 channels videos, the video I got would drop frame. Otherwise, if I only recorded 3 channels or below 3 channels, the video wouldn't drop frame. Dose this mean that there is no ways to record 4 channels' video without dropping frames on this SOC?

Here are my test case :

1.4ch SRV+ only record 1ch videos

2.4ch SRV+ only record 2ch videos

3.4ch SRV+ only record 3ch videos

4.4ch SRV+ record 4ch videos

Hello
Are you using SD card recording or networking recording?
Even both these case there is some max data rate that can be supported,
you will see frame drops if your requirement is beyond the max data rate supported (depends on the resolution/fps etc.)
I guess you are already using video compression (h264 encode) while recording, if not please use compression to reduce the data rate for recording

I used USB instead and i had already used h264 encode while recording.

Sorry i did not get your question, do you what to know how to check frame drops? The complete stats with fps info can get by entering menu option "p".
If something else, please elaborate?

Sorry for replying late.

In my chains or use case, I don't preserve the menu option.

Is there any other ways to check this problem?

Hi Denny
You can see the stats variables using CCS, but then it will interrupt the run.
Its very simple to add this statistic menu support, please refer any other UC for the same

You can add some prints in your UC to print the links statistics using VPS_printf() of vision SDK

Hi Shiju,

Is it possible for H.264 encoder to encode I frames only? If yes, how?
P frame consumes DDR bandwidth very much, I would like to try I frame only.

Yes, Encoder link with H264 support I-frame only encode
please refer UC - \vision_sdk\apps\src\rtos\usecases\avbtx_vip_single_cam\chains_avbTxVipSigleCam.c
for the configuration for the same
