Hello Team,

I have 2 inquiries about AM335x.

(1) Around XTAL, I found difference between EVM & data sheet.

(2) DDR3 termination on our EVM schematics.

Could you find attached excel file (each tab) and give me your feedback ?

Hi,

Q1: XTAL - follow the schematics. See AM335x Errata Advisory 1.0.30 for details.
Q2: See section 7.7.2.3.3.11 in the AM335x Datasheet Rev. J.

(1) I cold not find the AM335x Errata Advisory 1.0.30. So could you send me the document ?
(2) Does it mean that EVM schematics correct ?

2. Yes, HF decoupling is necessary close to the termination resistors. Usually 1 capacitor per 4 resistors is recommended.

Regarding (1), I read the attached pdf. But I could not find any description related to the inquiry from customer.

Could you specifically suggest the point on the pdf ?

Also, I believe that your comments: "XTAL - follow the schematic" means that EVM schematics is correct.

Is my understanding correct ?

Yes, the schematic is correct, adjusted from previous revisions per Errata Advisory 1.0.30.
