Hi Experts,

Please tell me about the following benchmark.

In the AM5728 GP-EVM, MMC2 is connected to eMMC. Was this benchmark measured MMC2 in HS200 mode?

Also do you know whether DMA is used instead of CPU (polling) for data transfer?

DMA mode was used. I need to follow-up on which MMC instance and mode that was used.

The AM572x GPEVM hardware doesnt support HS200 mode.

I understood that the GP-EVM does not meet the hardware design for the 192 MHz clock in HS 200 mode.

Could you tell me the clock speed of this benchmark?

Hi,

The HS200 mode seems to be supported only at 1.8 V. Since MMC2 on GP-EVM operates 3.3 V, it does not support HS200, does it?

However, according to the PSDK-Linux's Kernel Performance Guide, the eMMC read processing has a benchmark result of about 70 M byte/sec. I think that this benchmark result can not be achieved without a high-speed operation clock. Was this benchmark measured on boards of devices other than AM5728?

I also saw a couple of dts files, but I could not see which mode the MMC2 is operating in. Please give me some advice.

in DDR52

dt shows that pinctrl is in default setting

/sys/kernel/debug/mmc1/ios or /sys/kernel/debug/mmc1/clock should show the operating mode and frequency of emmc.

fyi: hs200 enabled devices provide ~100-110 mbps depending on the buffersize
