DaVinci Autofocus Driver

Hi all,

 

I'm using the CCD driver in order to capture images on the DaVinci board and need to implement an autofocus routine.

What exactly does the Autofocus Driver on the ARM do?  

Does it operate on the data from the CCD?  Can it control a focus motor?

I see that the Driver will compute and return some statistics for an image, but what statistics will it actually return?

    Though there is a driver for the autofocus hardware, the software to utilize it is not widely available. For further information on how to utilize the AF driver you should probably work with your local TI contact (sales office) to get a NDA in place to gain access to the AF documentation and software.
