1080P to SXGA

Hi,

I am new to the DaVinci video processors family and would like to use it for the next application. Basically, what i am looking for is a video processor that converts 1080p to SXGA format on the output..

I'm sorry i don't know of a way to post this in the general section of the DaVinci Video Processors forum

Hi,

Is it only a resolution resizing that you are looking for? Actually, the choice of the processor depends on the exact usecase that you are targetting. We have many Davinci family processors that can do the operation, but depends on where the data is coming from, whether you need some color space conversion, whether you need some compression etc.

Please provide us more details so that we can help you better in choosing the right video processor.

Hi Anshuman,

This project is at an early stage, therefore, i don't have all the details. Yes,I believer you are correct, it's basically about scaling the resolution to the correct format. From what i know about this project is that the video coming out a particular equipment is 1080p and the customer wants to display that on a screen at the SXGA resolution. Let's say i need color space conversion and data compression what would be the appropriate video processor to use ? And what if i don't need all that features what's the appropriate video processor to use
